Positive: The family are so incredibly accommodating, anything you need, they can sort it. We only booked for 1 night but stayed for an additional 4 nights. The next street along is the night market, food, spas and croc shops. The shoes, not the snappy kind. People will jump out at you for food and spas which was incredibly annoying but the food was good in most places. Saying that, there was no noise in the room at all. A couple of rooms (cheaper) have no window so make sure you mention this when booking. We spent the first night in a windowless room but the bed was the biggest bed I have ever seen. Then the owner put us in a room with patio doors and a balcony. There are beach towels available downstairs to use. Location - the actual town is an insane collection of flashing neon madness, mini Las Vegas. This overloaded our senses so going back to the hotel and its location was a great relief. Most beaches are resort owned so go a bit further south and you'll find a resort type area but not privately owned.

Negative: The only negative in the whole place is that the beds are really hard!
