Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: This place is incredibly beautiful. The accommodation is huge and super clean, perfectly furnished with all you might need (including comb, toothpaste, soap, towels etc). The bed is very comfortable and the location is in the middle of the nature. The owner was very nice and speaks good English, he tried to accommodate every need. I had dinner at the accommodation one night and the food was good and abundant.

Negative: I don't appreciate the fact that they lie about the location. I booked thinking that I would be able to walk in Ben Tre, but turns out that the city is almost 20 minutes driving from there. You find this out only after booking and you can't have a refund. In this situation I would expect the scooters to be free, but they're not. The price is still low (150k / day) but given that I have no other option that getting a scooter for going around because I'm literally in the middle of nowhere I don't think that's fair. Breakfast is ok, savory only with fruit and nothing to drink which was a bit odd. I was also a bit disappointed because despite the name "homestay and tours" no tour was available on the days I was there. Apparently there's nothing available for 1 solo traveler and they don't have enough bookings to guarantee tours everyday. I would go back because the place is very beautiful but I do think they should update their location.
