Positive: We had a great stay at the MT House. Firstly, I would like to praise the staff for excellent service. We had different questions and requests and they handled them all with kindness and priority; we always felt like we were important to them. This is the perfect middle-ground between a home stay in the village and a nice hotel in the city. The views of the mountains and the rice paddies are stunning and you can enjoy them in peace and quiet. Also, they have an excellent menu of Vietnamese cuisine, western food and a wide-array of drinks (especially some lovely coffees and this incredible blueberry smoothie, omg). Might I add, this can all be enjoyed from their picturesque cafe located right in the paddies with an incredible view. Last thing, if you plan to do any trekking, you can easily plan it with the hotel. The next day, you can have a local guide who will take you through the mountains. It was a once in a lifetime experience and with the MT House, it was made simple and convenient.

Negative: The property can perhaps improve on their beds and the toilet paper replacement. While we were there, we felt the bed was hard but not the worst I’ve ever slept on. Also, we did have to ask to replace our toilet paper which I would assume should just be taken care of by the hotel’s services. Maybe I am wrong about this expectation given where we are. These are just minor things that can be improved upon.

Summary: It was a beautiful and peaceful escape in the mountains with stunning views and excellent service.
