Summary: A lovely hotel amongst rural living without the rural experience, no goats or something that sets it apart. Room is decent sized but wasn't cleaned before arriving. Lovely staff Tran I believe is the star, as his manners make it work and English is quite good. Limited dining during shoulder season, or transport options meant Trang stepped up to compensate. Unfortunately the distance to Tam COC and Huang mua made this a difficult to navigate without paying for a tour or grab taxi. So for a short stay whilst being picked up from the hotel you'll be fine. If you prefer everything in walking distance close to the main attractions of Ninh binh you'll choose something else. Good value close to grocery store and fresh food market 500m down the street. However hotel room does not support cooking inside the rooms.
