Positive: Staff were so sweet and genuinely helpful; directed me to a great, local beauty salon. We loved the grandiose- meets- old -school beauty of the place. Decorations are tasteful and exquisite. Rooms r large with plenty of light and even windows you could open! love that. Breakfast buffet was great; real sourdough bread! Bed super comfortable. English language TV shows. Plenty of hot water for the bathtub. Turn down service. My husband and I really enjoyed taking advantage of their traditional costumes offer and played dress up this morning in front of their beautiful Christmas tree and paintings in the lobby. Staff were so helpful in taking our pictures with our phones. I also really enjoyed the beautiful pool and gym. Nice toiletries. Super clean. Had a safe garage for our big motorcycle.

Negative: Needs a "real" bar with better whiskeys and proper bar stools, with ambience. Their current bar is only a counter with no stools, and it's in the lobby, with sofa and chair seating only. For a 5 star hotel, it needs much greater selection of whiskey and wine. They could convert some wasted lobby area spaces into a proper bar. The gym needs to have cleaning solution to wipe down equipment after use. Breakfast service could possibly offer more individualized choices and sit-down menu options, instead of just buffet. Need tissue box in the bathroom.
