Positive: Hue was originally meant to be just a one-night stop for our family, but after discovering Mehome online and messaging Hao, we knew we had to extend our stay by two more days. Located just 10 minutes by taxi from the city centre, Mehome is a peaceful oasis surrounded by farmland and rice fields. What made it special was the atmosphere — we loved sharing the space with Hao’s family, other guests, and their friendly pets. It felt far more personal and welcoming than a typical hotel. There’s a shared outdoor kitchen and a great coffee machine, which added to the homely feel. Our 10-year-old son had a fantastic time exploring the property, searching for lizards, playing with the animals, and even trying his luck fishing in the pond. Hao was a wonderful host, helping us navigate Hue, dropping us at the local market to pick up Nem lui for lunch, and inviting us to share a family meal. The highlight was an unforgettable day spent on Tam Giang Lagoon. Hao truly made Mehome feel like our home. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a more authentic, peaceful alternative to the busy city.
